Thanks for the feature, ya beautiful bastards!
I have a really, REALLY huge question to ask; I'm a Werewolf: the Forsaken player from Louisiana, and was wondering: has anybody ever developed guidelines for setting a Werewolf chronicle in and around New Orleans? I know, I know, it mostly belongs to the vampires, but I don't want to be a vampire! I want to be a werewolf!

But the only book that White Wolf ever released for 1E that involved guidelines for describing potential Territory was The Rockies (and I AM NOT CONVERTING TO 2E!!! I DON'T LIKE ALL THE RULE CHANGES AND THE CRAPPY NEW CARD SYSTEM!!!!!! IT TAKES ME ROUGHLY 2-to-4 YEARS TO PUT TOGETHER ENOUGH MONEY TO PURCHASE JUST FIVE BOOKS!!!!!! HELL, I'M WRITING ALL THIS FROM THE COMPUTER AT THE FRIGGIN' LIBRARY!!!!! IT'S TO EXPENSIVE TO BEGIN AGAIN FROM SCRATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  ...sighhh... Any assistance you guys could give...hyperlinks to anyone else who have established descriptors of Louisiana Territories, particular Lodges, Packs, Enemies that will need slaying... it will be EXTENSIVELY APPRECIATED.
In my experience since the nWOD has a lot of freedom, the Forsaken games are a bit more seat of your pants kind of game and setting.  True, Rockies has some interesting stuff for that setting, but there's not much saying you can't take some of the Vampire stuff and tweak it to fit a Forsaken Game.  You have the restless dead in the form of Ghosts from graves, probably a lot of verges in the gauntlet where spirits come and posses people during a Mardi gra parade.  Maybe even have a group of Bone Shadows hold most of the power through voodoo-like incantations and cajin magicks.  One particular lodge that would fit would be the Lodge of the Crossroads, which focuses on the 'deal with the devil at the crossroads of life', and the main example of that Lodge is a creole Bone shadow if I remember correctly.

I'd imagine, though, with the aftermath of Katrina, you could very well have a Magath at a nearly idigam power level that is wrecking havock across the Shadow there as well.  I'd also take a look at specifically local legends, Ghosts, swamp devils, anything that could groom well for a Werewolf campaign or setting.  Lets not forget you can use Alligator Spirits.  Dude, reptile spirits are so underutilized everywhere its sadenning.
DR-Studios;
 Thank you for (so far, at any rate) being the only one to take my question seriously.
However, when I made that post 3-to-4 weeks ago, I was actually expecting answers from Werewolf: the Forsaken players from Louisiana, so I could get something in the way of geographical, topographical, demographical and sociological data; I'm from Louisiana, but, mind you, I've only ever set foot in New Orleans once, when I was eight-years old, so I honestly don't know anything about what it's like over in the "Big Easy."
I have spent all of my life growing up in this quiet, dull-as-ditchwater Podunk called Fordoche, a sleepy suburban town almost entirely made up of pensioners, small nuclear families, and newlywed couples looking to become the aforementioned.
We sometimes get smackheads and registered sex offenders, but they aren't allowed to stay for too long, as most people object to sharing space with these sort of undesirables, and lodge complaints to the sheriffs office until the law forces them to settle somewhere else.
THAT'S usually the most exciting thing that happens over here in "Snoozeville."

But, I'm digressing; I was hoping to get answers from people who either currently live there or have made frequent visits to New Orleans, and thus, could summarize to me, through the framework of Werewolf, what it's like to be there.

(and, on a related note, maybe get the contact information of other First Edition Werewolf players who live close by, `cause currently I don't belong to ANY group whatsoever, and I REFUSE to join any group that will pressure me into playing the convolutedly craptastic Second Edition; I mean, a goddamn card-system?! "Aspirations?!" And all those other cringe-inducing rules and suggestions that nobody asked for?!?! SHAME ON WHITE WOLF, FOR TRYING TO FOIST A FUCKIN' LEMON ON PEOPLE!!! WHAT THE HELL IS SO WRONG WITH THE FIRST EDITION THAT THEY NEED TO REPLACE IT WITH A STEAMING ABORTED TURD?!?!?!?!?! I'LL STICK WITH THE "NEW WOLRD OF DARKNESS," THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! THE GOOD STORYTELLING SYSTEM!!!")

...

Sorry, I just get extremely worked up and defensive when it comes to "change."

Part of the Autism. Sweating a little...
Well in all fairness you're refusing to give it a chance, which is the same attitude that a lot of OWoD players gave the NWoD when it came out.  I know because one of my friends who was an adiment Apocalypse Player was despising everything coming out.  And didn't give it much of a chance.

Just had a batch of character sketches done by ManekiNeko11 for a WoD: Innocents game I'm in.
Found this group in my scourings for World of Darkness-related stuff around the net. Wondering if you guys might have any groups or storytellers willing to take on a player. I've got a lot of nWoD resources and am definitely ready to play with anyone willing to take me in. :D
